Exciting news!
SUPER pumped to announce that last week we officially started fundraising for a crazy funny new short film that I’ll be playing the lead role in – Ronnie California: The King of Artesia.

We are looking to raise $20,000 over the next 50ish days to shoot 3 days in January in Los Angeles. In fact, after only 3 days we had already raised 10k!
I’m very excited about this project, mostly because it’s a story that you don’t really see – an unapologetically crazy movie that stars mostly Indian people and is about one man’s story of immigrating to America from India. Also, it’s the first time I’ve ever been the lead in any capacity!
Don’t believe me? Just read our logline:
‘Ronnie California, an Indian immigrant who operates an illegal gambling ring out of the back of his failing saree shop, must face the music when the community exposes his shady dealings.’
Pretty crazy, right? My cousin called that ‘the most captivating hook’ he’s ever read.
Like I said, we’re about halfway to our 20k goal at the moment, but we would really love to get a little extra off the top to help with the costs of marketing and post-production. Also in case you haven’t heard, there’s a double strike going on in the industry so we’d like to make sure our cast and crew get paid well too!

Join the Ronnie California gang today! Let’s bring this unorthodox story to the screen!
